COOLPIX W300 is built tough so it keeps going wherever you go. Dive with it to a depth of 30 m/100 ft without a housing (meets PADI advanced open water diving specifications). Count on it to keep performing in harsh conditions, since it’s designed to withstand drops from up to 2.4 m/8 ft., and temperatures down to -10°C/14°F. Dustproofing ensures uninterrupted operation in dusty, gritty, rugged outdoor environments.

It’s so easy to film underwater with the new COOLPIX W300 auto exposure and AE lock, delivering vibrant colors and vivid expressions with more control than ever. Even those tricky underwater scenes, where surface waves produce fluctuating brightness in the water below, can be captured with ideal exposure just the way you envisioned.

* When the battery temperature is below 0°C (32°F), movies with the size/frame rate set to 2160/30p (4K UHD), 2160/25p (4K UHD), 1080/60p, 1080/50p, HS 480/4×, HS 480/4×, HS 1080/0.5×, or HS 1080/0.5× cannot be recorded.
* If the battery temperature goes below 0°C (32°F) before you start recording, the size/frame rate of the movie switches to 1080/30p or 1080/25p.
* If the size/frame rate of the movie is set to 2160/30p (4K UHD), 2160/25p (4KUHD), 1080/60p, 1080/50p, HS 480/4×, HS 480/4×, HS1080/0.5×, or HS 1080/0.5× and the battery temperature goes below 0°C (32°F) while recording, the camera may stop recording and turn off automatically. The recorded movie is saved.

TAKE IT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD: ACTIVE GUIDE KNOWS WHERE

Whether you are shooting atop a mountain or underwater, press on the Tool Button to start Active Guide to check where you are right from the camera display, anytime you need it. Location data displays the direction that the camera is pointing toward, based on the information obtained using the built-in electronic compass. If you need to know how high or deep you are, Altitude and Water depth*1 displays keep you on top of the situation*2. You can even shoot while the information is displayed on the screen. Altitude and Water depth logs can be recorded at set time intervals and displayed for confirmation, which can later be displayed as a graph. What’s more, the camera can add location data to the images.

SHARING MEMORIES IS A SNAP WITH SNAPBRIDGE

Your high-quality Nikon images can light up your social networks in seconds with SnapBridge*1. It uses Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) to maintain a constant, low-power connection between your camera and smart devices. So you can keep your smartphone safely tucked away in your pocket, and your tablet in your bag, while photos*2 are automatically transferred to them as you shoot. Simply pick up your smart device and your photos will be there: Each of images synced while you shoot is automatically re-sized to a 2MB-size file. Copyright information or comments may be added to the image using SnapBridge app on your smart device, and quickly upload to social media or to NIKON IMAGE SPACE*2.If you don’t want to automatically sync every photo, simply switching to Wi-Fi® let you manually sync specific photos, sync movies, and even shoot stills remotely using a smart device*3.
